Issued 28th May 2018. WINTER IS COMING! A deep low and cold front in the Bight has South East Australia lined up for a wet cold blast during the next few days. Above satellite image on Monday via BOM. 

Another round of snow is likely down to 1000 meters across Victoria, Southern NSW and the ACT late on Tuesday and during Wednesday as the front moves through. Snow down to 700 meters is forecast in Tasmania. 

Widespread showers with patchy rain and isolated storms are expected to sweep across South East SA, Tasmania, Victoria, NSW and the ACT during Tuesday and Wednesday. With very cold windy conditions to follow for the rest of the week.

The cold conditions will also reach Southern QLD on Wednesday triggering isolated showers and possible storms, then spread throughout the state on Thursday. 

Mornings frosts will become widespread through South East inland and Southern inland QLD, inland NSW, the ACT and North East Victoria from Thursday morning onwards. Below image showing the very cold pool of air on Wednesday via
