Our Story
Higgins Storm Chasing started as a childhood obsession when Jeff Higgins was just 8 years old. Fascinated by weather from a very young age, Jeff chased storms long before it became a career.
In 2010, Jeff created the website to share thunderstorm photos and storm reports with fellow weather enthusiasts. The Facebook page launched in September 2011 and quickly grew to over 1 million members, becoming one of Australia's largest weather communities.
In September 2015, Jeff made the leap from civil construction to establish a subscription-based private weather forecasting service. Thomas Hinterdorfer joined the team bringing professional weather expertise, and together they built the foundation of what Higgins Storm Chasing is today.
What We Do
Through our various platforms we offer accurate weather forecasts, maps, videos, updates, warnings, emergency alerts and live coverage right across Australia.
Now operating as We Chase Pty Ltd (ABN: 80 646 198 398), the team includes voluntary administrators and paid staff dedicated to delivering the best weather content and forecasting services to our community.

We volunteer during natural disasters, raising awareness and providing relief aid to affected communities across Australia.
