UPDATED: A large slow moving high pressure system over Tasmania will cause moderate South East to Easterly winds across SEQLD. These onshore winds will carry increased moisture and be aided by some upper level support to cause light showers through most areas. These showers will be more frequent across the Wide Bay / Fraser Coast during the day. Cloudy conditions and the winds will provide a cooler day.
An upper level cut off low over Northern inland NSW will produce a trough through Southern inland QLD. Fine conditions are expected through the Maranoa during the day with increasing moist Easterly winds. Overnight Friday into early Saturday morning a band of rain and isolated storms is expected to move into the Maranoa district from the west.
